Seven days for two. Two nights at Vagator, with Chapora Fort at sunrise and a cliff-top sunset. Then a drive south, with a stop at Old Goa, to four nights on the calm Salcete coast. A spa day, a beach at your door, and a morning at Dudhsagar Falls. It is romantic, with plenty of time set aside for just the two of you.

Arrive at Vagator
You are met at the airport and driven to Vagator. This is the fashionable end of North Goa. Red laterite cliffs drop to small, dramatic beaches, and Chapora Fort watches over the bay. Settle in, then walk the cliff edge at golden hour. Dinner is at one of the cliff-top restaurants.

Chapora Fort and Anjuna
Climb Chapora Fort early, before the heat. The Portuguese rebuilt it in 1617 on the site of an older Adil Shahi fort. From the ramparts you see the Chapora River, Vagator Beach and the open sea. Later, drive to Anjuna. On Wednesdays in season its flea market fills with handwoven bags, silver and block-printed cottons. Hours shift with the season, so we confirm locally. Lunch is by the sea.

North Goa to the South Coast
The drive from Vagator to the Salcete coast takes about two hours. You can break it at Old Goa, where the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral stand among green lawns. Both are part of the UNESCO-listed Churches and Convents of Goa. You reach the South Goa coast by late afternoon. Beaches here are long, quiet and almost empty in the mornings. Check in and walk to the water for the sunset.

A Day on the South Goa Beaches
A free day for the coast. Benaulim, Colva and Varca run together in one long line of sand, with palms behind and fishing boats at the shoreline. The water is calm in the dry season. You can swim, kayak, take a spa treatment, or walk into the village for a chapel and a small market. Your guide can arrange a private sunset boat if you wish.

Dudhsagar Falls
An early start for one of India's tallest waterfalls. Dudhsagar drops about 310 metres in four tiers on the Goa–Karnataka border. The drive to Collem takes about two hours. Open jeeps carry small groups through the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, crossing shallow streams on the way. You can swim at the base where it is permitted. Jeeps do not run during the monsoon, so we confirm access before we book. You are back at the hotel by mid-afternoon.

Spa and Sunset
A day built around rest. Start with a morning session on the sand, then a spa treatment at your resort. Lunch is long and unhurried. In the late afternoon, walk to the water's edge. The sun drops straight into the Arabian Sea. Dinner is at a beach shack, with lanterns lit along the tide line.

Depart from South Goa
A final walk on the beach, then breakfast. Dabolim airport is about forty minutes away. Your driver meets you at the hotel in time for your flight.
