Andaman tour cost per person 2026-27 depends on five things: how you fly in, where you sleep, which ferry you take, what you book on the water, and how many nights you stay. Most online "per person" figures hide two or three of these. This guide shows every line, with the fees we could confirm, so you can build your own number.

Andaman trip cost per person: the lines that make up the total

Flights and stays are the two biggest lines. Everything else is smaller, but together the ferries and activities add up quickly.

Andaman ferry cost per person for a 5-night trip

A common 5-night route is Port Blair, Havelock, Neil Island, then back to Port Blair. That is three ferry rides per person. Fares below come from a third-party fare table that was last updated in March 2026. Operators revise fares, so confirm before you book.

The low end of each range is the entry class. The high end is the top class.

Three ferries, three budgets

• Entry class on a private ferry: about ₹3,600 per person for all three rides (₹1,200 a hop on the lower Green Ocean class).

• Premium class on Makruzz: ₹1,725 plus ₹1,600 plus ₹1,625, which is ₹4,950 per person.

• Top class on Makruzz: ₹3,100 plus ₹2,575 plus ₹2,950, which is ₹8,625 per person.

Andaman tour package cost per person: stays

Stays decide the total more than anything else. A simple guesthouse and a luxury villa can differ by many times, on the same island and the same night. We will not quote a single nightly figure, because there isn't a fair one.

Use this instead:

Stay cost per person = (nightly room rate × number of nights) ÷ number of guests sharing

Two guests share one room, so each pays half. A family of four in two rooms pays the same per person as two couples. Ask for the rate per room, not per person, so you can compare.

How the island changes the rate

Season changes the rate more than the room does

December to January and the school holidays are the most expensive periods. Shoulder months cost less. The monsoon is cheapest, but ferries can be cancelled and the sea closes for water sports. Choose by priority: price, or certainty.

Andaman activities cost per person

Water activities are where costs drift upwards. Pick the two or three that matter.

Do not choose a dive operator on price alone. Licensed instructors, serviced equipment and a small group size are worth paying for.

What a 5-night Andaman trip costs per person: a worked example

Here is the method, using the confirmed ferry fares above. Fill in the other lines with your own quotes.

The first two lines alone come to ₹11,450 per person before you have paid for a bed. This is why a "low" package price often leaves out ferries or activities. Always ask: which ferry class, which activities, and whether airport transfers are included.

Why Andaman package prices differ so much

Two quotes for the same nights can be far apart. Check these before you compare.

1. Ferry class. Entry class and top class differ by thousands per person.

2. Room category. A garden room and a beachfront villa are different products.

3. Inclusions. Are meals, transfers, entry fees and activities in the price?

4. Season. Check the travel dates on both quotes.

5. Flights. Most quotes exclude them. Confirm.

Our advice

Fix your stay budget first, then your ferry class, then add two activities. Do not try to cut costs by dropping safety. Choose a reliable ferry, a licensed dive operator and a hotel that answers messages. Avoid the cheapest option on any line that touches the sea. If the numbers still look high, shorten the trip by one night before you downgrade the room.
