About This Journey

Andaman Scuba Diving Journey — Luxury

Seven nights built as a genuine progression underwater, not a single dive squeezed between beach days. You transfer straight to Havelock on arrival, and the early days — Radhanagar Beach, then the reef at Elephant Beach — work as an easing-in before the full scuba day at Havelock's dive hub, where discover-scuba divers and certified divers alike find sites suited to their level.

A ferry to Neil Island follows, for the Natural Bridge and Bharatpur Beach, a natural rest between water days. The trip returns to Port Blair with a buffer day before departure, in line with the standard rule against flying too soon after a dive.

  1. 01

From first dive to multiple dives

Beginners can start with a one-to-one discover-scuba dive, shallow and instructor-led, before deciding whether to add further dives at the same centre during the Havelock days.

  2. 02

    Snorkelling first, diving second

Elephant Beach's shallow, close-in reef works well as a first look at the water before the scuba day, especially for anyone unsure whether diving is for them.

  3. 03

A proper buffer before the flight

Divers should not fly within about a day of their last dive. This itinerary's closing Port Blair days build that gap in deliberately, not as an afterthought.

  4. 04

A stay chosen for its access to the water

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa on Havelock and SeaShell, Neil put you close to the water on both islands, with Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Bay Island anchoring Port Blair.

Chapter Three — Day by Day

Real Andaman & Nicobar Attractions in This Itinerary

6 of your 8days — the full itinerary follows below. Scroll to travel the route.

Day 2 · Havelock Island

Radhanagar Beach — Once Named Asia's Best

A full day at Radhanagar Beach, on Havelock's western shore. Time magazine named it Asia's best beach in 2004, and it has kept its Blue Flag certification for cleanliness and safety since. The sand runs pale and fine, backed by dense island forest that stays green right down to the shoreline. Late afternoon is the best time to be here, as the light turns gold before sunset over the water.

Day 3 · Havelock Island

Elephant Beach — Snorkeling & Reef Diving

A boat ride to Elephant Beach, reachable only by water — there's no road in. The reef just offshore is one of the healthiest in the Andamans, with clear, shallow water that suits first-time snorkellers as well as certified divers. Boat operators provide snorkeling gear as part of the trip. The afternoon is left free for the beach itself, generally quieter than Radhanagar.

Day 4 · Havelock Island

Havelock Scuba Diving — The Andamans' Dive Hub

Havelock Island is the Andamans' main PADI diving hub, and this day is built around it. Dive sites here include Nemo Reef, Tribe Gate, The Wall, and Dixon Pinnacle, each with its own reef structure and marine life. A private dive operator handles equipment and briefing, with options for certified divers and first-timers doing an introductory dive. Two dives is the typical day, with a surface break between them. Non-divers can snorkel the same waters from the boat instead.

Day 5 · Havelock Island → Neil Island

Havelock to Neil Island — Ferry Crossing

A short ferry hop south to Neil Island, renamed Shaheed Dweep in 2018 in honour of India's freedom fighters, taking about an hour. It's the smallest and quietest of the three main islands on this route. Check in by midday, leaving the afternoon free to reach Laxmanpur Beach in time for sunset.

Day 6 · Neil Island

Neil Island — Natural Bridge & Bharatpur Beach

Morning at the Natural Bridge, a limestone rock arch carved by the sea, also known locally as Howrah Bridge. It's best seen at low tide, when the surrounding rock pools are exposed. Bharatpur Beach fills the rest of the day — shallow, calm water that makes it one of the easiest beaches on the islands for swimming. Neil Island has no real nightlife, which is exactly the point after the busier stops earlier in the trip.

Day 7 · Neil Island → Port Blair

Neil Island to Port Blair

A ferry back to Port Blair, roughly two hours via Havelock. You'll arrive in the early afternoon. The rest of the day is unscheduled. It's a good chance to revisit Cellular Jail's museum galleries at a slower pace, or simply rest before the final day.

Arrival & Fast Transfer to Havelock Island

Private airport pickup on arrival in Port Blair, then straight onto a ferry bound for Havelock Island. This route skips Cellular Jail and the city's other sights, trading them for more time on the water. The crossing takes around ninety minutes by fast ferry. By afternoon you're checked into your Havelock resort, with the rest of the day free to settle in or walk the beach. No fixed schedule — just an early start and a fast finish to Port Blair's arrival formalities.

Frequently Asked

Before You Book

Can I do more than one dive during the trip?

Yes — Havelock's dive centres offer multi-dive days for both first-timers who want a second dive and certified divers logging further dives.

What will I actually see?

Hard and soft coral, reef fish, clownfish among the anemones, and with luck a turtle or ray. More experienced divers can head to deeper sites and wall dives.

When is diving best?

November to April, when the sea is calmest and visibility is at its best. The monsoon months bring rougher water and less reliable conditions.
