Chapter Three — Activities & Sightseeing
1 of your 3days — the full day-by-day plan follows below.

Day 2 · Delhi
A whole day inside the walled city Shah Jahan built. The Jama Masjid first, then a long walk through the lanes: the spice market at Khari Baoli, the silver and wedding-card bazaars, a working Jain temple with a bird hospital, and the crumbling merchant havelis. Lunch is a Mughlai thali at a decades-old kitchen near the mosque. The afternoon takes in the Red Fort. It is the day that makes sense of the rest of Delhi.
Chapter Four — Day by Day
Every day, start to finish — including the transfers the sightseeing chapter above skipped.

Delhi
A private airport pickup in Delhi, then a first afternoon among the city's Mughal landmarks. Humayun's Tomb, finished in 1570, was the first great garden tomb built in India. Its design was later echoed in the Taj Mahal. Qutub Minar rises more than 70 metres and dates from the 12th century. It is the tallest brick minaret in the world. Old Delhi adds the Red Fort and the broad steps of the Jama Masjid. The evening is free before the drive to Rajasthan.

Delhi
A calmer day in the green, planned half of the city. The morning is the imperial layout: the Kartavya Path axis, India Gate, and the sandstone Secretariat buildings on Raisina Hill, with a drive past the President's house. Then Humayun's Tomb, the sixteenth-century garden-tomb that led to the Taj. The afternoon is the Lodhi Garden, walking among the fifteenth-century domes, and time in Khan Market. An easy, shaded day.
