3 nights in Delhi
Haveli Dharampura
A UNESCO-awarded restored 19th-century haveli in the Chandni Chowk lanes — carved courtyards, a rooftop over the Jama Masjid, evening kathak.

About This Journey
Four days in Delhi, based inside the old walled city itself, at Haveli Dharampura — a restored heritage haveli in the heart of Shahjahanabad. Staying here rather than in New Delhi changes the trip: Old Delhi's lanes, bazaars and monuments are a walk from your door, not a drive.
The itinerary still covers all of Delhi — Mughal landmarks on arrival, New Delhi's Lutyens-era avenues and garden tombs, and a fourth day for the capital's crafts and markets — but Old Delhi gets the immersion a haveli stay allows. You can step back into the old city's rhythm in the early morning or after dark, well outside the hours a day-tripping visitor ever sees it.
Haveli Dharampura is a restored heritage property inside Shahjahanabad, putting Old Delhi's lanes and markets within walking distance rather than a taxi ride.
Staying inside the walled city means you can experience its lanes in the quiet of early morning or the different energy of evening — hours most visitors, based elsewhere, never see.
Day two remains a full walking day through the old city's markets and monuments, and returning to a base inside those same lanes afterward extends the immersion rather than ending it.
The itinerary doesn't sacrifice New Delhi's Lutyens-era sights or the fourth day's crafts and markets — the Old Delhi base adds depth without cutting the rest of the trip.
Chapter Two — Where You'll Stay
Handpicked along your own route — not a hotel chain repeated city to city.

Chapter Three — Day by Day
2 of your 4days — the full itinerary follows below. Scroll to travel the route.

Day 2 · Delhi
A whole day inside the walled city Shah Jahan built. The Jama Masjid first, then a long walk through the lanes: the spice market at Khari Baoli, the silver and wedding-card bazaars, a working Jain temple with a bird hospital, and the crumbling merchant havelis. Lunch is a Mughlai thali at a decades-old kitchen near the mosque. The afternoon takes in the Red Fort. It is the day that makes sense of the rest of Delhi.

Day 3 · Delhi
A calmer day in the green, planned half of the city. The morning is the imperial layout: the Kartavya Path axis, India Gate, and the sandstone Secretariat buildings on Raisina Hill, with a drive past the President's house. Then Humayun's Tomb, the sixteenth-century garden-tomb that led to the Taj. The afternoon is the Lodhi Garden, walking among the fifteenth-century domes, and time in Khan Market. An easy, shaded day.
Chapter Four — The Full Itinerary
Every day, start to finish — including the transfers the day-by-day chapter above skipped.

Delhi
A private airport pickup in Delhi, then a first afternoon among the city's Mughal landmarks. Humayun's Tomb, finished in 1570, was the first great garden tomb built in India. Its design was later echoed in the Taj Mahal. Qutub Minar rises more than 70 metres and dates from the 12th century. It is the tallest brick minaret in the world. Old Delhi adds the Red Fort and the broad steps of the Jama Masjid. The evening is free before the drive to Rajasthan.

Delhi
A day for shopping and looking, at a slower pace. The Crafts Museum first, with its village of workshops where weavers, potters and painters work in the open. Then the state emporiums on Baba Kharak Singh Marg, each selling the textiles and handicrafts of one region under one roof, at fixed prices. The afternoon can be Dilli Haat, an open-air craft market, or the boutiques of Hauz Khas village beside a medieval reservoir. Good for gifts and for a break from monuments.
