2 nights in Delhi
The Imperial New Delhi
The Imperial New Delhi is a 1936 heritage hotel on Janpath with a vast art collection, celebrated restaurants, and five-star comfort.

About This Journey
Three days is enough to meet India's two most famous cities, if the route is right. This trip pairs a full day in Delhi with a single, well-timed day trip to Agra, so you leave having seen the Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb and the Taj Mahal without feeling rushed between them.
You land in Delhi and settle in among its Mughal landmarks first. Day two takes you through both halves of the capital, Old Delhi's lanes and New Delhi's wide colonial avenues, in a single well-paced day. Day three is the highlight: an early departure to Agra, time at the Taj and Agra Fort, and a return to Delhi the same evening. Your car and driver-guide stay with you throughout, so nothing about the pace depends on public transport or a train timetable.
Day two covers Shahjahanabad's old city and Lutyens' New Delhi in one outing — the Red Fort and its bazaars in the morning, the wide avenues and government buildings of the new capital by afternoon. It is the fastest honest way to see both faces of Delhi.
Day three leaves early for Agra, covers the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, and returns you to Delhi that evening. The drive runs on the Yamuna Expressway, which keeps the round trip well within a single day.
The luxury package stays at The Imperial New Delhi, a Lutyens-era hotel near Janpath. The premium package stays at Haveli Dharampura, a restored heritage haveli inside Old Delhi itself.
Chapter Two — Where You'll Stay
Handpicked along your own route — not a hotel chain repeated city to city.

Chapter Three — Day by Day
1 of your 3days — the full itinerary follows below. Scroll to travel the route.

Day 2 · Delhi
A full, fast day across both Delhis for travellers with only one. The morning is Old Delhi: the Jama Masjid, a cycle-rickshaw through Chandni Chowk, and the Raj Ghat memorial. The afternoon is New Delhi: Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar, and a drive down the Kartavya Path past India Gate and the government buildings. It is a lot of ground and a lot of traffic. A private car and guide make it possible.
Chapter Four — The Full Itinerary
Every day, start to finish — including the transfers the day-by-day chapter above skipped.

Delhi
A private airport pickup in Delhi, then a first afternoon among the city's Mughal landmarks. Humayun's Tomb, finished in 1570, was the first great garden tomb built in India. Its design was later echoed in the Taj Mahal. Qutub Minar rises more than 70 metres and dates from the 12th century. It is the tallest brick minaret in the world. Old Delhi adds the Red Fort and the broad steps of the Jama Masjid. The evening is free before the drive to Rajasthan.

Delhi
An early start down the Yamuna Expressway, about two hundred and thirty kilometres and three hours each way. In Agra: the Taj Mahal, then Agra Fort, with a lunch in between. If there is time, a stop at Itimad-ud-Daulah, the Baby Taj, across the river. The drive back gets you to Delhi in the evening. It is a long day, but it is the way to see the Taj without moving hotels. The Gatimaan Express train is a faster, calmer alternative to the car.

It is a long day, but a realistic one. The expressway keeps travel time down, and the itinerary is built around it — you get real time at both the Taj and Agra Fort, not a photo stop.
Three days covers the essentials well. If you want Agra without a same-day return, or a slower look at Old Delhi, our longer Delhi and Agra itineraries give you that room.
