First, one night in Port Blair
Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Bay Island, Port Blair
Welcomhotel Bay Island is a Charles Correa-designed 5-star hotel on Marine Hill, Port Blair, with harbour views, a spa, and two dining venues.

About This Journey
Five nights, three islands, and the ferries that connect them treated as part of the trip rather than an inconvenience. From Port Blair's Cellular Jail, a fast catamaran takes you to Havelock for Radhanagar Beach and the reef at Elephant Beach, then a shorter crossing brings you to Neil Island for the Natural Bridge and Bharatpur Beach.
Each hop is timed with a buffer, since sea conditions can shift crossing times, especially outside the November-to-April season. The result is a trip that actually feels like island-hopping — three distinct places, each properly visited, rather than one island stretched thin.
Crossings between Port Blair, Havelock and Neil generally run under two hours, and the shorter Havelock-to-Neil hop is about an hour. The schedule allows for delays rather than assuming perfect conditions.
Rather than a single combined afternoon, the itinerary gives Havelock's two headline stops a proper day each.
The coral arch on Neil Island is only crossable at low tide, over rock and tidepool — the itinerary's timing accounts for this rather than leaving it to chance.

Chapter Three — Day by Day
4 of your 6days — the full itinerary follows below. Scroll to travel the route.

Day 2 · Port Blair → Havelock Island
A private ferry crossing to Havelock Island, officially renamed Swaraj Dweep. The trip takes around ninety minutes across open water. Most visitors still use the old name. Check in by early afternoon. The rest of the day is free to settle into the island's slower pace before tomorrow's beach and reef days.

Day 3 · Havelock Island
A full day at Radhanagar Beach, on Havelock's western shore. Time magazine named it Asia's best beach in 2004, and it has kept its Blue Flag certification for cleanliness and safety since. The sand runs pale and fine, backed by dense island forest that stays green right down to the shoreline. Late afternoon is the best time to be here, as the light turns gold before sunset over the water.

Day 4 · Havelock Island
A boat ride to Elephant Beach, reachable only by water — there's no road in. The reef just offshore is one of the healthiest in the Andamans, with clear, shallow water that suits first-time snorkellers as well as certified divers. Boat operators provide snorkeling gear as part of the trip. The afternoon is left free for the beach itself, generally quieter than Radhanagar.

Day 5 · Havelock Island → Neil Island
A short ferry hop south to Neil Island, renamed Shaheed Dweep in 2018 in honour of India's freedom fighters, taking about an hour. It's the smallest and quietest of the three main islands on this route. Check in by midday, leaving the afternoon free to reach Laxmanpur Beach in time for sunset.
Also On This Trip — Inter-Island Ferry
A high-speed catamaran connects the islands on this route, with reserved seating booked as part of your trip.

Port Blair → Havelock Island · Makruzz
Makruzz has run high-speed catamaran ferries through the Andamans since 2009 — the largest such fleet in the islands, with three vessels covering more than ten daily connections between Port Blair, Havelock, and Neil Island. The Port Blair to Havelock crossing takes roughly ninety minutes to two and a half hours depending on the vessel and sea conditions, covering open water between Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair's official name since 2023) and Swaraj Dweep, as Havelock Island is now officially known. Air-conditioned cabins, assigned seating, and an onboard snack counter make the crossing comfortable rather than a logistics chore — for most travellers, this ferry is the only way to reach Havelock's beaches at all.

Havelock Island → Neil Island · Makruzz
The shortest of the Andamans' inter-island crossings, Makruzz's Havelock to Neil Island route takes roughly an hour across calm, sheltered water — a gentler ride than the open-sea Port Blair leg. Neil Island, renamed Shaheed Dweep in 2018, sees far fewer visitors than Havelock, and this ferry is the only practical way in for travellers extending a trip beyond Radhanagar Beach. The same high-speed catamaran fleet and air-conditioned cabin seating carry over from the Port Blair route.
Chapter Four — The Full Itinerary
Every day, start to finish — including the transfers the day-by-day chapter above skipped.

Port Blair
Private airport pickup on arrival in Port Blair, the Andaman Islands' capital. The afternoon centres on Cellular Jail. It was built between 1896 and 1906 to hold India's freedom fighters in solitary cells. It's known as Kala Pani, or black water. Today it stands as a national memorial. Evening brings the jail's Light and Sound show, telling that history after dark. Then it's off to your hotel for the night.

Neil Island
Morning at the Natural Bridge, a limestone rock arch carved by the sea, also known locally as Howrah Bridge. It's best seen at low tide, when the surrounding rock pools are exposed. Bharatpur Beach fills the rest of the day — shallow, calm water that makes it one of the easiest beaches on the islands for swimming. Neil Island has no real nightlife, which is exactly the point after the busier stops earlier in the trip.
