Andaman & Nicobar · 6 Days
Andaman Port Blair Explorer
Six days across Port Blair's Cellular Jail, Ross Island, and Baratang Island, ending with two days on Havelock.
Day by Day
6 Days, In Full
Six days that give Port Blair's history and its outer islands equal weight. Two full days on Havelock close out the trip. Cellular Jail opens things, the colonial prison turned national memorial. Ross Island follows next, its banyan-wrapped colonial ruins home to resident deer. A full day then heads north to Baratang Island. The road passes through the Jarawa Tribal Reserve in an escorted convoy. It ends at limestone caves and India's only mud volcanoes. A ferry then crosses to Havelock Island. Radhanagar Beach and Elephant Beach's reef fill the days there, snorkeling included. Private transfers and a dedicated guide run throughout.

Port Blair
Arrival in Port Blair — Cellular Jail & Light and Sound Show
Private airport pickup on arrival in Port Blair, the Andaman Islands' capital. The afternoon centres on Cellular Jail. It was built between 1896 and 1906 to hold India's freedom fighters in solitary cells. It's known as Kala Pani, or black water. Today it stands as a national memorial. Evening brings the jail's Light and Sound show, telling that history after dark. Then it's off to your hotel for the night.

Ross Island — Colonial Ruins & Resident Deer
A short boat ride from Aberdeen Jetty crosses to Ross Island, renamed Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep in 2018. It served as the British administrative headquarters for the Andamans from the 1850s onward. A 1941 earthquake struck the island hard. The Japanese occupation followed soon after, ending that era for good. Old ballrooms, churches, and bungalows still stand here. Banyan roots now wrap through their walls and columns, slowly reclaiming the ruins. Wild deer roam freely across the island's grassy stretches. It's a quiet, atmospheric contrast to Cellular Jail's darker history. The boat returns to Port Blair by early afternoon.

Port Blair
Baratang Island — Mud Volcanoes & Limestone Caves
A full-day trip north to Baratang Island, reached by road through the Jarawa Tribal Reserve in an escorted convoy. Photo ID is mandatory at the checkpoint. Photography inside the reserve itself is strictly forbidden. Beyond the reserve, a short boat ride winds through mangrove creeks to Baratang's limestone caves, shaped over centuries by mineral deposits. Nearby sit India's only active mud volcanoes, low mounds that occasionally bubble and hiss. It's a raw, less-visited side of the islands. The convoy returns to Port Blair by evening.

Port Blair → Havelock Island
Port Blair to Havelock Island — Ferry Crossing
A private ferry crossing to Havelock Island, officially renamed Swaraj Dweep. The trip takes around ninety minutes across open water. Most visitors still use the old name. Check in by early afternoon. The rest of the day is free to settle into the island's slower pace before tomorrow's beach and reef days.

Havelock Island
Radhanagar Beach — Once Named Asia's Best
A full day at Radhanagar Beach, on Havelock's western shore. Time magazine named it Asia's best beach in 2004, and it has kept its Blue Flag certification for cleanliness and safety since. The sand runs pale and fine, backed by dense island forest that stays green right down to the shoreline. Late afternoon is the best time to be here, as the light turns gold before sunset over the water.

Havelock Island
Elephant Beach — Snorkeling & Reef Diving
A boat ride to Elephant Beach, reachable only by water — there's no road in. The reef just offshore is one of the healthiest in the Andamans, with clear, shallow water that suits first-time snorkellers as well as certified divers. Boat operators provide snorkeling gear as part of the trip. The afternoon is left free for the beach itself, generally quieter than Radhanagar.
