The Most Romantic Beaches in the Andamans for Couples
The most romantic beaches in the Andamans: Radhanagar, Kalapathar, Laxmanpur and Bharatpur compared by light, privacy and mood, with timing tips.

The Andamans have some of the best beaches in India, and a few of them are especially good for couples. The difference between them is not the sand. It is the light, the privacy and what you do there.
This guide picks the beaches that suit a honeymoon or an anniversary, and says when to go to each.

Radhanagar Beach, Havelock
Radhanagar is the beach everyone talks about, and it earns it. A long curve of white sand, backed by forest, with calm turquoise water. The sun sets straight into the sea.
Go late, about an hour before sunset, when the light is golden and the crowds thin.
Walk to the far end for more privacy.
Swim with care, as lifeguards patrol only part of it.
See our Radhanagar guide.
Kalapathar Beach, Havelock
Kalapathar is smaller and quieter, with black rocks against white sand and a line of trees along the shore. It faces east, so it is a good sunrise spot.
Go at sunrise, when the beach is nearly empty.
Bring a flask of tea. There are few stalls early in the morning.
See the Kalapathar guide.
Laxmanpur Beach, Neil Island
A long, open beach on Neil's west coast with a famous sunset. It is slower and more rural than Havelock. Walk along the shore at low tide and stay for the sky. See the Laxmanpur guide.
Bharatpur Beach, Neil Island
Bharatpur is the swimming beach, with clear shallows and a reef near the shore. It suits couples who like the water, and the morning is the best time. See the Bharatpur guide.

Radhanagar at golden hour.
A romantic plan
Day 1: Radhanagar for the golden hour, with dinner at your resort.
Day 2: Kalapathar at sunrise, then a snorkelling trip.
Day 3: ferry to Neil. Bharatpur in the morning and Laxmanpur at sunset.
For a longer trip, see the 6-day itinerary and the where to stay guide.
Tips for couples
Book beachside stays on Havelock, because the beaches are far apart.
