Four nights is the shortest Andaman trip that still feels like a holiday. It lets you see Port Blair, spend time on Havelock and still touch Neil Island, without living on ferries.

This plan keeps transfers to a minimum and puts the best beach at the right point in the trip.

Ferry to Port Blair, flight out

Day 1: Port Blair

Land and check in. Visit the Cellular Jail in the afternoon, then see the evening light and sound show. See our Port Blair half-day guide if you land early.

Day 2: Port Blair to Havelock

Take a morning ferry and reach the island by late morning. Check in, rest, and head to Radhanagar Beach for the late afternoon. See the Radhanagar guide.

Day 3: Havelock

Spend the day on the water. Snorkelling at Elephant Beach, a dive or a boat ride suit most people. Keep the evening free. Our Elephant Beach guide covers the options.

Day 4: Havelock to Neil

Take the morning ferry to Neil and spend the day on its beaches. Bharatpur is good for swimming and the shallows, and Laxmanpur has a famous sunset. See the Neil Island guide.

Day 5: Neil to Port Blair

A morning ferry returns you to Port Blair, and you can fly out in the afternoon. Book the flight for after 1 pm to be safe, since ferries can run late.

What a 4-night trip leaves out

  • Ross Island and North Bay: a half-day that can replace Day 1 if you arrive early.

  • Baratang and the limestone caves: a full day that does not fit.

  • Long Island and Diglipur: better for a week-long trip.

Ferry timing: the main risk

The ferries run on a fixed schedule, and weather can cancel a sailing. Do not book a flight out on the same morning as a ferry. Our ferry guide explains the options.
