Luxury Kasauli Tours

Kasauli is a small cantonment town on a pine ridge in the lower Himachal hills, at about nineteen hundred metres. The army founded it in 1842, and it still has that feel: a short Mall road, colonial cottages behind hedges, a stone church from 1853, and almost no traffic. Asia's oldest brewery, from the 1820s, is in the town. The walks are the point. Upper and Lower Mall loop the ridge under Himalayan oak and chestnut. Monkey Point, the highest spot, looks over the Punjab plains, and Sunset Point catches the evening light. There is no large hotel here. Kasauli is a quiet half-day, usually visited from Shimla, an hour and a half away, or as a first or last stop from Chandigarh.
